During our course Advance Game Art at Futuregame we got to pick a topic we wanted to dive deeper in. I chose to practice both foliage production and photogrammetry. A forest was the clear winner in my mind. So I went out to the nearest forest and began shooting thousands of pictures, of course having the occasional awkward interactions with bypassers thinking I looked stupid. I later turned these images into objects using Agisoft Metashape. After highpoly was made I used Marmoset to bake all the assets down to the lowpoly. Substance designer was used during the next step as I needed to create an roughness map for all the baked assets. Next step was importing into UE4 and start placing them.
I would like to thank Valerio Terreri for all the feedback during this course, and of course my classmates who also took their time giving feedback!
